Technically a 454 FLX Titanium Cluster (a special machine from Roche). It's a self-contained cluster which processes information from the data sequencer and then makes it available to users. It's not here yet but the order has been sent as of August 13th, 2009, and it should take approximately 8 weeks to arrive.

The proposed setup is to place the cluster in the server room, and the sequencer in lab 2. Fiber has already been laid between the server room and lab 2, so we can connect a gigabit switch in lab 2 for the sequencer to dump directly via gigabit speeds to the cluster.
