Africa Biosciences Challenge Fund (ABCF) - 2012 Research Fellowships Registration Form

The Africa Biosciences Challenge Fund is a competitive fund which facilitates access to the Biosciences eastern and central Africa (BecA) Hub at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) for scientists and students from African national research institutes and universities. Fellowships awarded through the Africa Biosciences Challenge Fund support short-term placements for scientists and students from the BecA region to access the world-class facilities and expertise at the BecA Hub at ILRI, located in Nairobi, Kenya.

We are seeking applicants who have developed ideas for short-term projects (3-6 months) related to food and nutritional security or animal health, to use the advanced biosciences capacity available at the BecA Hub.

Applicant requirements:
  1. Working knowledge of English
  2. PhD or MSc in any agricultural bioscience area
  3. Currently affiliated with an African national agricultural research program or university
  4. From one of the BecA countries: Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Madagascar, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda.
