IgBLAST was developed at NCBI to facilitate analysis of immunoglobulin variable domain sequences but has recently been extended to perform analysis for T cell receptor (TR) sequences.

Load one version into your environment and run it:

$ module load igblast/1.10.0
$ igblastn
$ igblastp

Notes from the sysadmin during installation:

$ cd /tmp
$ wget ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/blast/executables/igblast/release/1.10.0/ncbi-igblast-1.10.0-x64-linux.tar.gz
$ tar xf ncbi-igblast-1.10.0-x64-linux.tar.gz
$ sudo mkdir -p /export/apps/igblast/1.10.0
$ sudo mkdir -p /export/apps/igblast/1.10.0/data
$ sudo cp -r ncbi-igblast-1.10.0/* /export/apps/igblast/1.10.0

Note: I did not install the databases as I am not sure we need them, as we are not using igblast directly right now. Otherwise, the documentation says we need them for versions less than 1.13.0.
