Welcome to ILRI’s High Performance Computing
site.
ILRI’s HPC facility was established to serve the Bioinformatics
computing needs of ILRI and its partners in the Consultative Group on
International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and National Agricultural
Research partners in the region. The ILRI HPC is linked to several
other HPC facilities at several research centres of the CGIAR in Asia
and South America. This CGIAR High Performance Computing Grid allows
the effective use of computing power to exploit the latest genome
technologies to develop healthier crops and livestock to
alleviatepoverty and hunger in the developing world.
The ILRI Bioinformatics group is a specialist node of EMBNet, a science-based group of collaborating nodes throughout Europe and a number of nodes outside Europe.
